Wildlife art |wildlife paintings of Big Cats - 'Eyes on You'

Welcome to my own personal space dedicated to my love of painting big cats. Growing up in Sri Lanka, I was surrounded by these majestic creatures, particularly the endangered endemic sub-species, Pathera Pardus Kotiya (Kotiya meaning leopard in Sinhala language). This has shaped my appreciation for the beauty of these wild animals and inspired me to capture their unique personalities in my art.
I have been painting and sketching big cats since I was a child and my passion for this craft has only grown with time. I hope that through my artwork, I can bring awareness to the beauty and importance of these animals and help protect them for future generations.
I specialize in oil & acrylic paintings and pencils of the majestic big cats of the world. I capture their beauty and spirit in each piece, and strive to create artwork that conveys the emotion of each moment while maintaining a level of realism.
I take great pride in capturing the spirit of the big cats I paint. As a wildlife artist, I venture into nature not only to capture the beauty of the wild, but also to find moments of surprise and wonder. One of the most memorable moments was when I encountered a mother leopard with her two cubs in the wild. She was staring at me as if I was a danger to them. This moment was so powerful that I preserved it in a painting and titled it 'Eyes on you'.
