Wildlife Art | Wildlife Paintings of Elephants - 'Long Walker'

I have been living in the wilds of Sri Lanka for over two decades. In my time here, I have had the incredible privilege of watching an amazing herd of eight grown elephants and two babies roam around the area.
Elephants are the largest land animals in the world and are a symbol of power, wisdom, and strength. Unfortunately, due to deforestation and loss of habitat, elephants are struggling to survive. As a result of human activities, these majestic creatures are being forced to migrate further and further in search of food and shelter.
Elephants struggling to survive due to deforestation is a cause that I feel very passionate about. I have been using my art to highlight the plight of these majestic creatures.
This piece is a painting of an elephant that has suffered a horrible acid attack by a local.
It is my hope that my art can help spread awareness and encourage people to take action to protect these animals. I believe that education is key in ensuring that both humans and elephants can coexist peacefully otherwise the struggle between human and elephant is a never-ending saga.
